Prior to this, she was the assistant director at Foxbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. She earned her associate degree in nursing in 1997 and continued her education in 2016 at the University of Phoenix, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. She is currently pursuing a registered nursing program at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Ms. Hamer-Boddy is a certified nursing assistant, a licensed practical nurse and she has an executive director’s license. She is a member of the Mississippi Nurses Association and the National Black Nurses Association. In her position as executive director, she trains other nurses, so they learn how to administer effective patient care. She attributes her success to her passion for nursing and for helping people. She hopes to teach more students in the future and offer more classes to nurses in training.
