Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business operations from Texas A&M University in 2008, Ms. Dodson provided superior service from 2008 to 2011 as a transportation team leader with leading Texas supermarket chain H-E-B. In the latter year, she joined Ryder System, Inc., a premier provider of fleet, transportation and supply chain functions for over 50,000 customers that operates North America’s largest fleet of trucks, an expansive infrastructure of maintenance facilities and warehouses. Ms. Dodson has flourished as senior logistics manager from 2011 to 2015, group logistics manager from 2015 to 2018, and director of the central support team from 2019 to the present, in which she has focused on the development of people, process and technology to transform the central organization structure and deliver high performance results in the areas of driver trip management, payroll and customer invoicing.
Ms. Dodson attributes her success to her drive to give her all in everything she does, to having an excellent family network, and to her motivation to make processes better and grow her team and company. As a career highlight, she is most proud of the changes she has implemented in her department such as digitalization of records and procedures, which helped make their operations more efficient. Ms. Dodson also believes that being promoted to the position of director in a male-dominated field as a female at her age is quite an achievement. In the coming years, she intends to carry out strategies as planned and continue growing and expanding her role to collaborate with more organizations to create additional opportunities for others.
