Ossam Byer, Director at Byer Tax Service, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in human resources management and tax preparation.

Mr. Byer served his country as a human resource manager in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1977, where he attained the rank of E-8 Senior Master Sergeant and received a commendation medal for outstanding service. He then earned a master’s degree in human resource in Brooklyn College in 1983 and a postgraduate degree in executive programs and international management from Columbia University in 1986, which he parlayed to a selection for a position as program director for the USAID Regional Development Training Program for the Caribbean with the Barbados Institute of Management from 1984 to 1988, a program that analyzed, measured and improved the performance capabilities of elected small businesses in the Caribbean islands of Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts-Nevis, St Lucia and St Vincent.

Following excellent service as human resource manager for the Statue of Liberty National Monument in 1988, Mr. Byer then served as administrative officer with the Bronx Veterans Administration Medical Center. For the past 20 years, he has prospered as a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association, the National Association of Uniformed Services and the American Legion.

For Mr. Byer, his career highlight was spending 40 years in the human resource field, 20 years of which he spent with the United States Air Force. When he left the military, he continued to specialize in that area. In the coming years, he is hoping for the continued growth and success of Byer Tax Service.
