Ms. Whitney is experienced in public service and ensures that everyone she serves gets their mail.
In preparation for her career pursuits, Ms. Whitney attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and political science, cum laude, in 1990. To keep abreast of her career field, she has maintained affiliation with multiple professional organizations related to her areas of expertise. A Democrat, Ms. Whitney is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union, the National Organization of Women, Progressive United, and EMILY’s List.
Ms. Whitney has been recognized for her excellence with numerous awards and accolades, including the Bob Alesch Award from Partners in Giving in 2005. In 2004, she earned a Backyard Hero Award from Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, a Know Your Wisconsin State Journal Award, and a Top Fundraiser Award from the Madison Walk for Diabetes. Ms. Whitney additionally received a Hannah Needham Rogers Award from Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin and a Community Volunteer Award from the United Way in 2002. In 1995, she earned ten SECC Fundraising Awards and the Hopebuilder Habitat for Humanity Award.
In her spare time, Ms. Whitney enjoys many hobbies, including reading, sports, music, movies, cooking, baking, and collecting stamps. She participates in charitable endeavors through giving blood, donating to food pantries, and making donations to the YWCA. Ms. Whitney attributes her success to her drive to do quality work. Doing a good job and having an impact on others move her to excellence in her career. In the coming years, she plans to continue finding success in her current endeavors, stay active, and remain connected to her community through volunteer work.
Ms. Whitney has been recognized extensively by Marquis Who’s Who. She has been featured in Who’s Who of Professional Women, Who’s Who of Industry Leaders, Marquis Millennium Magazine, and Marquis Milestones. Ms. Whitney is also the recipient of a Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award.
