Mr. Ebling has worked for Shankman & Associates Inc. since 2011, starting as a sales, marketing, and retail intern. He became a business manager in 2012, a client development manager in 2014, a central unit manager in 2018, and the vice president of sales in 2021. Currently, he maintains the posts of client development manager and vice president of sales. From 2009 to 2010, Mr. Ebling completed a logistics internship with the Challengers Soccer Company.
For his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Ebling received the Shankman & Associates Gordon Award in 2014 and an award for the Future Leadership Program from the National Confectioners Association in 2016. He prepared for his career at Bowling Green State University, where he earned a soccer scholarship. Graduating in 2012, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing.
To stay up to date with his industry, Mr. Ebling has been affiliated with numerous professional organizations. Since 2022, he has been a member of the board of directors with The Confectionery Foundation, and since 2019, he has been on the organization’s Young Professionals Network Committee. From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Ebling was a board member of the Northern Ohio Association of Grocery Manufacturer Representatives. Since 2017, he has been a member of the NCSA/Candy Hall of Fame board of directors.
In his current posts with Shankman & Associates Inc., Mr. Ebling helps clients and manufacturers of consumer products understand how to take their products to market. He also advises them on strategy, product launches, and future business decisions. Mr. Ebling attributes his success to being surrounded by talented people and to the support of his mentors. He considers his acceptance into the NCA Future Leadership Program to be his most notable career achievement, and in the coming years, he hopes to continue in his current posts and pursue a leadership position. Alongside this effort, he hopes to mentor, train, and support the next generation of professionals in his field.
