Edgardo Cruz, HSSE director at Third Coast Terminals, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering and safety compliance.
Well regarded for over 20 years of experience in networking, engineering and safety compliance, Mr. Cruz has excelled as health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) director for Third Coast Terminals since 2018. In this role, he has overseen the development and implementation of the company’s environmental health and safety compliance program. Prior to his current appointment, he operated as a PSAM safety and quality lead for INEOS Nitriles in Port Lavaca, Texas, from 2014 to 2017. Mr. Cruz originally began his career working as an environmental health safety project engineer and specialist for Bristol-Myers Squibb Manufacturing Co. from 1997 to 2008.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Cruz pursued a formal education in his homeland of Puerto Rico, earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, magna cum laude, at Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez in 1997. As part of his dedication to his profession, he also remains affiliated with the CIAPR (Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico). Over the course of his career, he has largely attributed his success to his willingness to learn and gain experience. In the coming years, Mr. Cruz looks forward to continuing his work with his company, and in the future, he hopes to become an HSSE contractor or the vice president of a larger corporation.
