Larry C. Sherrell, Former Vice President of Human Resources at Lexipol, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Human Resources.
Mr. Sherrell is a Human Resources executive with more than 30 years of HR leadership experience. He served as the Vice President of HR at Lexipol from 2017 to 2019 and has since shared his expertise as a consultant in the field. From 2009 to 2017, he was the U.S. HR Director for Gibson Energy, and from 1996 to 2009 he worked at Texas Instruments as an Organizational Development Manager for four years and HR Director for nine years. Mr. Sherrell garnered further experience as an HR Manager with Abbott Laboratories from 1985 to 1996, with four years in the pharmaceutical division and seven years in the diagnostics division. He was also a Labor Relations Manager with General Motors from 1984 to 1985.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Sherrell attended General Motors Institute and earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering degree in 1973. He continued his higher education at the University of Michigan, graduating from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business with an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Industrial Relations in 1975. Mr. Sherrell invested in leadership development throughout his career and served on the Advisory Board of the SMU Cox HR Roundtable for Dallas and Fort Worth HR leaders from 2011 to 2019. He was selected in October 2022 to be a mentor in the Menttium program and support a highly accomplished professional in 2023 reach her full potential. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, working out and tennis.
