With more than 45 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Loper has excelled as the president of The Loper Group in Houston, Texas since 2002. Prior to this position, he served as the vice president of Roux Associates Inc. from 1985 to 2002. He was previously active in a number of appointments with FMC Corp., including as the business director for aquifer remediation systems from 1984 to 1985, the manager for industry marketing in the specialty chemicals division from 1983 to 1984, the manager of product sales for the specialty chemicals division from 1981 to 1983, the manager for group safety and health in the industrial chemical group from 1979 to 1981 and the manager of production for the environmental and technical specialty chemical plant from 1975 to 1979. Attributing his success to his hard work, faith and perseverance, Mr. Loper has also notably contributed to multiple civic endeavors, including those through the Ashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Boy Scouts of America and the United Way.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Loper pursued an education at Lehigh University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Science and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1973. He concluded his studies at the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies in 1979, graduating with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering. He has been additionally licensed as a professional engineer in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, North Carolina and Ohio. Mr. Loper is also certified as an environmental engineer, sustainability practitioner and safety professional, designations he considers to be the highlights of his career.
