With 15 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Person has excelled as the director of operations for Nelson and Hammons APLC since 2020. Prior to this appointment, he held a number of roles at the aforementioned company, including as a part-time runner from 2008 to 2012, an office assistant from 2013 to 2016 and a business manager from 2016 to 2020. He previously began his career in community relations for “Movies and Moonbeams” at the Robinson Film Center in Shreveport, Louisiana from 2007 to 2008. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Mr. Person has served in various posts with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the Cypress Baptist Church, the Rotary Club of Shreveport and Gingerbread House Bossier-Caddo Children’s Advocacy Center Inc., among other organizations benefitting his community.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Person pursued an education at Bossier Parish Community College, from which he earned an Associate of Arts in cinematography and film/video production in 2008. He ultimately concluded his studies at Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2016, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. Nominated among the 40 Under 40 in 2022, he has likewise been notably recognized as a Paul Harris fellow of Rotary Club International in 2022 and the Diplomat of the Month/Quarter by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. Proud to have supported his community and helped third-party vendors transition into remote work during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Mr. Person hopes to continue advancing in his professional ambitions while furthering his education with a master’s degree in leadership and economic development and operating in a board chairman position with his local chamber of commerce.
