Abdelgabar Mohieldin, Verbatim Reporter & Translator at United Nations, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in communications.
With decades-long experience to his credit, Mr. Mohieldin has excelled as a verbatim reporter and translator for the United Nations since 2011. Prior to this appointment, he served as a lecturer in translation at the University of Khartoum in Sudan for 10 years. He previously worked as a journalist as well as a drama teacher at the Youth & Children Palace in Sudan. As a testament to his professional success, Mr. Mohieldin has been presented with awards from the United Nations’ Secretary General.
Mr. Mohieldin initially pursued a higher education at the College of Music & Drama, Sudan University for Science & Technology, from which he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in drama and theatrical criticism. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Journalism and Public Relations from Omdurman Islamic University, , followed by a Graduate Diploma in translation at the University of Khartoum and a Master’s degree of Arts in translation at the University of Khartoum.
Mr. Mohieldin is a renowned bilingual writer, critic and a public intellectual. Currently, he continues to pursue his formal academic efforts as a candidate of a doctoral degree. Attributing his success to the influence of his mother, Mr. Mohieldin hopes to graduate with his doctorate while continuing to translate for children’s books, establishing his own agency and working to help resolve conflicts in Sudan and around the world by utilizing language and culture for peace in the coming years.
