Steffanie Pearce, general director and founder of Gulfshore Opera, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of musical arts.
With nearly 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Pearce has cultivated a career of excellence as an opera singer and director. In 2014, she founded Gulfshore Opera, a nonprofit organization headquartered in southwest Florida and dedicated to cultural enrichment via the arts and music. Since founding the company, Ms. Pearce has also served as the general director. Additionally, she founded Opera Naples in 2005, where she operated as the general and artistic director until 2014. Ms. Pearce originally began her career as an opera singer, having performed on stage in a number of productions from 1985 to 2010.
Prior to embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Pearce pursued a formal education. To wit, she holds a bachelor’s degree in voice performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a master’s degree in opera performance and acting from the University of Southern California. She also completed apprenticeship programs with the San Diego Opera and the Cincinnati Opera. In light of her dedication in the field, Ms. Pearce remains affiliated with OPERA America Inc., and she has been honored with several awards, including the WGCU Makers Award in 2016. Accounting for her accomplishments, she is most notably proud to have won the Montréal International Musical Competition for opera performance. In the coming years, Ms. Pearce looks forward to further collaborating with others in order to create a community-based performing arts center in her region.
