Elliott C. Margolis, MPA, Manufacturers Representative at MAJEC Sales, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in sales.
With more than 30 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Margolis currently excels as a manufacturers representative with MAJEC Sales, a position in which he is responsible for selling athletic clothing to teams in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. In addition to this position, he was active as the owner of a retail store that sold sporting goods, bicycles and embroidery. Moreover, he served with a prison health project for the State of Massachusetts. Mr. Margolis attributes his success to his tenacity, his hard work ethic, his refusal to give up, and his unwavering efforts to accomplish what needs to be done.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Margolis pursued an education at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from 1968 to 1972. He concluded his academic efforts at the University of Massachusetts in 1973, graduating with a Master of Public Administration. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Margolis was elected as the president of the University of Massachusetts chapter of Hillel International, through which he established the Kosher Kitchen in 1971.
Furthermore, Mr. Margolis remains associated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He has been affiliated with the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce as a member since 1978 and a past president from 1988 to 1989. Mr. Margolis was also formerly appointed as the former president of his regional chapter of B’nai B’rith.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Margolis found success throughout the 20-year tenure of his cable television show discussing local politics, Bevcam, for which he was presented with multiple national awards. He was additionally honored as the Small Business Person of the Year by the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce in 1989. Likewise, his exceptional endeavors were honored with many sales awards over the course of his career. Looking toward the future, Mr. Margolis hopes to increase his regional sales with his company while debating a potential well-deserved retirement.
