From 1983 to 2009, Mr. Shaver served in the U.S. Army as a chief warrant officer. During this time, he was appointed as special assistant to the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and a school special assistant for the U.S. Army Ordnance Center and Schools from 2007 to 2009, a department director for the 61st Ordnance Brigade in 2007, an advanced tracked vehicle division and the recovery division chief for the 61st Ordnance Brigade from 2004 to 2007, a battalion maintenance technician at Fort Riley, Kansas from 2002 to 2004 and a squadron maintenance technician for the 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment in Fort Hood, Texas from 2001 to 2002. Recruited as a battalion maintenance officer for the 1-227 Aviation Regiment in Fort Hood, Texas between 1998 and 2001, Mr. Shaver initially contributed in the U.S. Army as a non-commissioned officer and mechanic from 1983 to 1996.
Beyond his primary professional responsibilities, Mr. Shaver has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate professional circles. To refine his applicable skills, he completed coursework at Labette Community College in 1983 and Central Texas College in 2002. He has been additionally affiliated with the Decatur Dream Center. Likewise, Mr. Shaver is a member of the Warren Officers Association.
Mr. Shaver attributes his success to his unwavering dedication to his profession as well as the support of his family. Among the many highlights of his career, he is proud to have retired after completing more than 25 years of service in the U.S. Army. Mr. Shaver is looking forward to his retirement in the coming years, during which time he hopes to devote more time to glamping in his RV to explore the rest of the United States.
