With several decades of experience to his credit, Mr. La has cultivated a career of excellence in the field of accounting. Since 1993, he has operated as the owner of DTL LLC, a public accounting firm that works with individuals and other corporate clients throughout mainly the Northeastern states, and can be represented in any of the 50 states as an Enrolled Agent (A Federal Practitioner). Prior to his current appointment, he served as a bank consultant for Citibank in 1993, and he was a controller, assistant treasurer and executive chief accounting officer for Derby Saving Bank from 1981 to 1993. As part of his professional journey, Mr. La remains affiliated with the International American Association of Finance & Management and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. La pursued a formal education, beginning with his time at Central Connecticut State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1979. He subsequently continued his studies at the University of Hartford and achieved a Master of Business Administration in 1981 and a Master of Science in accounting in 1985. In addition to his academic credentials, he is also a fully certified tax resolution specialist. In light of his academic and professional accomplishments, Mr. La is most notably proud to have earned his dual master’s degrees and to have founded his own company, which he hopes to expand in the coming years.
