Sidney I. Reeves, an advancement coordinator at St. Thomas Aquinas College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of institutional advancement.
Mr. Reeves has distinguished himself as a member of the institutional advancement team at his alma mater, St. Thomas Aquinas College, a private college in Sparkill, New York. In this capacity, he serves as an advancement coordinator and is responsible for gift management and stewardship outreach, through which he works primarily with Razor’s Edge, a cloud-based software program designed for fundraising and relationship management.
Hailing from prior fundraising experience, Mr. Reeves previously served on the streets of New York for such nonprofit organizations as the Nature Conservancy and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Additionally, working alongside his mother, he helped co-found the Phoenixx Phoundation, a charity that seeks to raise donations for the benefit of college students whose parents are living with breast, pancreatic or colon cancer. Throughout the course of Mr. Reeves’ own education, during which time he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with a major in management and a minor in creative writing, in 2020, he benefited richly from the generosity of St. Thomas Aquinas College, whose financial assistance was instrumental to his success while his own mother fought against cancer.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Reeves credits the strong foundation he has built in working with talented people, as well as excellent time management skills. Furthermore, he lived experiences have given him the ability to adapt to any challenging situation.
Outside of his vocational efforts, Mr. Reeves is currently working toward publishing a series of novels, the first of which he hopes to have published within the next three to five years. He is also a stalwart advocate for the cause of LGBTQ rights. Having grown up as a member of a local community center that contributed richly to its local community, Mr. Reeves’ goal for the future is to establish a similar nonprofit organization that offers opportunities to advance for children.
