Andres Escobar, Chief Creative Officer at Bespoke Masterpiece by Andres Escobar, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in architecture and design.

A distinguished and internationally recognized architectural designer, Mr. Escobar has contributed his creative excellence to designs for boutique hotels, resorts, private homes, high-end condominiums and more. Born in Medellin, Colombia, he conducted his education in Montreal, Canada at Dawson College, earning a DCS in interior design in 1983. He went on to serve in various designer roles with Leonard Ostroff Design Associates, Goyette Duplessis & Assoc., Quesnel Smolens & Associates in Montreal, Canada. He was also the founder of IDI Design Development, where he was a design principal and partner through 1992.

During the early 2000s, Mr. Escobar founded his practice in New York, and as the principal of Andres Escobar & Associates in Montreal. In 2015, he joined forces with the iconic Canadian architectural practice Lemay, creating the global brand Lemay + Escobar Architecture D.P.C., where he is now a partner and design principal, liaising with partners and clients to ensure the delivery of every project. To remain abreast of his field, he maintains membership with the American Society of Interior Designers, Interior Designers of Canada, Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario, Association Professionnelle des Designers d’Intérieurs du Québec and Interior Design Society.

In a career filled with achievements, Mr. Escobar is lauded for projects such as the Gretsch Building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the J Condo in Dumbo, Brooklyn, 49 John St. Condos in Lower Manhattan, the Marriott at Hudson Yards, the Sheraton and Westin Hotels in Flushing, Queens, The Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village and The Harsen House, The Corner and The Olcott Building on the Upper West Side. He attributes his success to his perseverance and belief in himself, nothing he has always been an overachiever, consistently telling himself, “I can do more.” He also credits the influence of his mother, who loved gardening and was involved in horticultural competitions, and his father, who was also known for his creativity and love for design.

Finding vast success in his endeavors, Mr. Escobar received Golden Key Awards for Boutique Design for The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights, Property Awards USA for Orchard Park by David Burke, Grand Prix Habitat Design for Le Sherbrooke Condominium Galerie and Canadian Properties Awards for Humaniti Autograph Collection Hotel, all in 2021. In addition, he was honored as Architecture & Design Innovator of the Year from REDinNYC Awards, as well as granted International Property Awards winner for Charlie West and Summit East 44th St, NYCxDesign Awards for One Times Square Digital and Grands Prix du Design for Laval Private Residence. Mr. Escobar was also honored with Seychelles’ Leading Green Resort from 2018 to 2020 for The H Resort, Beau Vallon Beach and with the Commerce Design Montreal Award from Kyoson by AEA in 2015.
