Michael A. Dzikowski, Senior Vice President at UBS, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts in history from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1990, Mr. Dzikowski considered a career path in law enforcement, having scored 98 percent on the entrance exam for the police academy. Ultimately, he followed in the footsteps of his father, who was the head of compliance at Merrill Lynch, and went into finance. He commenced his endeavors with an internship as a money market trader’s assistant at Merrill Lynch before joining Madison Financial Group. He subsequently returned to Merrill Lynch, dealing with the capital market side of the industry and trading short-term corporate bonds as a registered taxable debt marketing specialist. He then transitioned to syndicate desk work for new securities issues before returning to trading.
By the late 1990s, Mr. Dzikowski chose to carve a path in the retail aspect of the business by joining the broker’s program to become a financial advisor. Content with this transition, he went on to serve in the same capacity with First Union Securities from 1999 to 2011. In 2011, Mr. Dzikowski was appointed senior vice president of wealth management at UBS Financial Services, Inc., where he successfully rebuilt his career as a financial advisor, exceeding his earlier achievements and developing new financial advisory relationships. Notably, he has been named to Best-In-State Wealth Advisors by Forbes from 2018 to 2022, Top 100 Advisors by Wells Fargo from 2004 to 2011 and a Five Star Wealth Manager by New Jersey Monthly in 2011.
Upon reflection, Mr. Dzikowski credits his success to the example set by his father. He also cites his ability to hire reliable teammates, whose expertise and support have helped ensure his success. Together, they build solid relationships with satisfied clients whom they treat like family. Looking toward the future, Mr. Dzikowski plans to obtain his financial planner certification, as well as manage $1 billion worth of assets for his clients. He is currently only $400 million shy of his target. His five-year goal is to make his work life a little less demanding of his time, so he can fulfill his dream of visiting all states in the country. Outside of his primary work, he enjoys spending time with family and coaching youth sports.
