Lester Robert “Bob” Beatty, owner, systems architect and senior project manager of Peregrine LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of information technology.

Drawing on more than 50 years of experience, Mr. Beatty is a proven leader in information technology and the field of finances. Since 2001, he has served as the owner, lead systems architect and senior project manager at Peregrine LLC. Operating as the head of his business, he primarily specializes in tax advice, preparation and consulting, in addition to guiding the company in various aspects of systems planning, design and implementation. Under Mr. Beatty’s leadership, the business has also developed a strong and dependable focus on communications.

Mr. Beatty previously operated as an information technology manager for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, a highly regarded nonprofit organization, from 1984 to 1988. He also excelled as the director of information technology at Cincinnati electronics between 1979 and 1981, during which time he completely reorganized the business’s management processes by merging five different computer departments into one. In the early stages of his career, Mr. Beatty also worked with fellow industry professionals to develop the NASDAQ Index between 1968 and 1970, having served in a crucial role as a systems architect for the project.

Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Beatty honorably served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1968, working alongside the Army Signal Corps and achieving the rank of first lieutenant before retiring. Furthermore, he pursued a formal education, earning a Bachelor of Science in business and managerial economics at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. During his time at the institution, he also implemented his idea of the school’s very first mascot, a Scottish terrier, which has since remained the school’s symbol for over 50 years now. Mr. Beatty later completed his studies at the University of Bridgeport, where he achieved a Master of Business Administration in finance and operations research in 1969.

To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Beatty has been honored with several accolades throughout his career, including recognition as an Outstanding Local President in the State. The Ohio House of Representatives paid him tribute by passing a house resolution in his honor. He also received a Meritorious Service Citation Certificate from the United States Army. Accounting for his achievements, Mr. Beatty is particularly proud to have assisted in the creation of the Boy Scouts Cyberspace Jamboree and to have been elected president of the Ohio Senate of the Ohio Model Legislature.
