With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Horch has excelled as a training and development specialist with Stanley Black and Decker Inc. since 2021, a position in which she helped to develop a quality certified trainer program for the facility’s assembly area that continues to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for new employees. She was previously active as a program advisor at the Newcomer International Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where she created their systems, operations and curriculum from scratch. Prior to these positions, she worked as a coach, a school administrator, a workplace Spanish instructor through the University of Memphis, a grade school Spanish and English as a Second Language teacher between 2001 and 2012, and an international corporate locksmith trainer. Ms. Horch began her career as a PTA Spanish teacher with Tildon Hogge Elementary School followed by a tenure at a regional high school.

To support her professional endeavors, Ms. Horch pursued a formal education at the University of Louisville, from which she obtained a Master’s Degree in 1995. She subsequently earned a certification from the Institute of Children’s Literature, a certification in Spanish for workplace trainers, her National Board Certification for teaching English as a Second Language and a certification as a workplace essential skills trainer. In 2022, she completed the Leadership Jackson Program. Ms. Horch is currently concluding her studies at Walden University, from which she anticipates to graduate with a Doctor of Adult Education in the immediate future.

Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Horch has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. Affiliated with both the Jackson Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Jackson Alumni Association, she has contributed her time and financial resources to her local chapter of The Salvation Army as well as the International Festival of Jackson. Ms. Horch has found success with her written works as well, having authored “Enchanting Beauties” for Page Publishing Inc. in 2019.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Horch has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career, including a Teacher of the Year recognition in 1995. Attributing her success to the support of her peers in manufacturing as well as her organizational skills, her growth-centric mindset and her ability to build and maintain relationships in her respective industries, she was drawn to her areas of expertise due to her inclination to easily learn languages, including Spanish, French, Italian and German, and she was able to build upon her skills to carve out a stellar reputation in both the academic and corporate worlds. Incredibly proud of her work with both the Newcomer International Center and Stanley Black and Decker, Ms. Horch hopes to continue her professional advancement at Stanley Black & Decker while transforming her farm into a venue for personal wellness and business concept incubation in the coming years.
