Sarah M. Desjarlais, Founder and Executive Director of Fosterful, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Since 2013, Ms. Desjarlais has been the founder and executive director of Fosterful. The business is a nonprofit organization serving as a conduit for community members to be involved in the child welfare system. Without becoming full-fledged foster parents, volunteers can work with child welfare offices to ease children’s transitions into foster care. Prior to this role, Ms. Desjarlais was a public relations specialist with a civil engineering company and a community involvement specialist with the Starbucks Coffee Company.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Desjarlais completed English coursework at Lewis-Clark State College. She went on to study business management at the University of Phoenix. For her professional excellence, she received a Collaboration Award from the Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington and a Holiday Heroes Award from the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. Alongside her primary roles, Ms. Desjarlais has served with her local chamber of commerce and partnered with various local nonprofit organizations. She hopes to advance to an executive director position in the coming years and eventually expand Fosterful across the country.
