Vanessa L. Griddine, JD, LLM, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategist at Evolved Agenda Consulting, and Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in politics.

Since 2019, Ms. Griddine has excelled as the chief executive officer and chief strategist of Evolved Agenda Consulting. With her expertise in public policy, government relations and international affairs, she has also been the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute since 2016. In these roles, Ms. Griddine oversees political and campaign training programs, coordinates public policy work and produces annual reports presented to Congress, among numerous responsibilities.

Alongside her primary roles, Ms. Griddine has been a member of the board of directors for Porchlight Wellness since 2020. She authored “Commentary: If You Aren’t Finding Diverse Campaign Staff, You’re Not Looking” in the Post and Courier in 2020 and “Lessons from Successful African American Lawyers” with Hope’s Promising Publishing in 2020. Previously, she served as the co-chair and board trustee of the League of Minority Voters. In 2015, Ms. Griddine was recognized by Who’s Who Among Notable Alumni.

Ms. Griddine prepared for her career at Columbia College, where she graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in public affairs. In 2014, she earned a Master of Laws in international law and legal studies at the University of Houston Law Center. Ms. Griddine obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the Southern University Law Center in 2015 and completed coursework in fashion law at the Fordham University School of Law’s Fashion Law Institute in 2020.

Alongside her formal degrees, Ms. Griddine was certified in public law by the Southern University Law Center. She was certified in grant writing by the Grantsmanship Center in 2002 and certified in mediation by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in 2013. In 2019, Ms. Griddine obtained her Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit/Public/Organizational Management from the Harvard Kennedy School.

To keep abreast of her field, Ms. Griddine has maintained affiliation with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the National Negro Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta, the International Law Association and the Southern University Law Center. She had further served as a senior presidential adviser with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, a senior policy adviser with the U.S. House of Representatives, the deputy chief of staff for Congressman Alcee Hastings, and the director of projects for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. In the coming years, Ms. Griddine aims to expand Evolved Agenda Consulting and develop more programs for higher visibility for the Congressional Black Caucus Institute.
