Beth Ballenger, MSW, Vice President of Business Development at Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health care administration.
Since 2022, Ms. Ballenger has excelled as the Vice President of Business Development for Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care. In this role, she provides business development and operational support to their agencies in California, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the island of Puerto Rico. She has worked for Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care since 2016, when she became a Community Education Liaison for their agencies in Kansas and Missouri. From 2017 to 2021, she was the Executive Director in Kansas and Missouri agencies, and in 2021, she became a Regional Executive Director. Prior to her positions with Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care, Ms. Ballenger was a community liaison with Grace Hospice from 2006 to 2016. She began her career as a medical social worker with Baptist Lutheran Medical Center from 2001 to 2004 and a medical social worker with Blue River Care Center from 2004 to 2005.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Ballenger earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Central Missouri in 2002. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master of Social Welfare. For her professional accomplishments, Ms. Ballenger received an award for Best Program from Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care in 2020. To keep abreast of her field, she has maintained affiliation with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, the Missouri Hospice & Palliative Care Association and the Kansas Home Care & Hospice Association. In her spare time, Ms. Ballenger enjoys spending time with family and friends.
