Ms. Bailey is an accomplished human resource professional and academic administrator with more than 15 years of experience. Since 2021, she has excelled as the vice president for human resources at Boston University. Prior to this position, she garnered experience as the vice president of human resources at Brown University from 2018 to 2021. From 2015 to 2018, Ms. Bailey served Morehouse College as the acting chief of staff and associate vice president of human resources.

In 2005, Ms. Bailey began her career as an employee relations specialist for Broward County Public Schools. She left this post in 2007, becoming the senior regional human resources manager for Westwood College until 2010. For two years, Ms. Bailey was a regional human resources business partner with Edison Learning, after which she became the director of compensation/employee and labor relations for Broward County Public Schools from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, she was the chief human resources officer with Broward County Public Schools.

To prepare for her accomplished career, Ms. Bailey attended Florida Atlantic University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and education in 1999. In 2003, she earned a Master of Science in labor relations and human resource management from the University of Rhode Island. Alongside her formal degrees, she holds numerous professional certifications. Ms. Bailey Is a Certified Labor Relations Professional with the Florida Public Employer Labor Relations Association and a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management.

While finding success in her current position, Ms. Bailey has contributed to the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect as an advisory board member since 2018. Since 2019, she has been a board member for Skills for Rhode Island’s Future. For her accomplishments, Ms. Bailey was named to the Most Ambitious Women in Business by Fortunes Crown Magazine in 2023 and was listed in the Top 10 Most Influential HR Executives to Watch in 2022 by CIOViews Magazine in 2022. Profile Magazine also featured her in a Leader Spotlight.

To keep abreast of her field, Ms. Bailey maintains affiliation with numerous professional organizations related to her field. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Georgia Independent College Association. Since 2015, she has been a member of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources. In her spare time, Ms. Bailey enjoys sports, traveling and spending time with her family.
