From 2013 to 2017, he was the director of practice plan billing and compliance at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Mr. Lehnortt specializes in billing compliance, HIPAA compliance, policy analysis and emergency medicine consulting.
Mr. Lehnortt attended Pennsylvania Western University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a minor in history in 1981. He continued his higher education at the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating in 1982 with a Master of Arts in political economy. Alongside his formal degrees, Mr. Lehnortt is certified in health care compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association.
For his professional excellence, Mr. Lehnortt received a DAR Good Citizen Award from the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1977. Among his achievements, he is proudest of his writing, publication and teaching accomplishments at the American College of Emergency Physicians. He enjoyed the opportunity to write a manual related to state legislation. As a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, Mr. Lehnortt is proud of speaking at the organization’s annual meetings and regional conferences.
In the coming years, Mr. Lehnortt plans to continue creating and updating policies and procedures at DJO LLC. He hopes to pursue continuing education and obtain additional certifications in his field. Mr. Lehnortt enjoys playing tennis, reading, meeting people and spending time outdoors in his spare time.
