Stephen Kirk Williamson, director at Austal USA, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management and administration.
With four decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Williamson is a proven leader in business development and administration. Since 2015, he has served as the director of test and activation, marine ops, preventive maintenance, care and protection, and calibrations for Austal USA. As a multi-departmental leader for the shipbuilding company, he oversees various projects and tests, in addition to managing budgets and handling other general management tasks. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Williamson excelled as a test engineering manager for the Northrop Grumman from 2005 to 2015. At the onset of his career, he worked with Ingalls Shipbuilding, who previously recognized him with several Engineering Excellence Awards, from 1984 to 2005.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Williamson pursued a formal education. To wit, he completed an apprenticeship with Ingalls Shipbuilding at the Gulf Coast Community College in 1988 and later earned an associate’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering at Faulkner State Junior College in 2004. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, he also remains active as a civic-minded citizen, regularly participating in medical mission trips to East Africa. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Williamson has largely attributed his success to his dedicated work ethic and desire to excel. In the coming years, he looks forward to further cultivating a culture of brotherhood within his company.
