Prior to his current appointment, he was the safety director and superintendent for Ranger Excavating from 2010 to 2013. Furthermore, from 2006 to 2010, he was an accident investigator and mine inspector for Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Moffitt honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 2001 to 2005, achieving the rank of sergeant prior to retiring.
To commemorate his military achievements, Mr. Moffitt was honored with a medal from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2002. As part of his professional career, he also pursued a formal education and acquired several pertinent certifications in his field. To wit, he holds an Associate of Science in business from Colorado Technical University, and he is certified in mine safety, occupational safety and health technology. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Moffitt has largely attributed his success to his desire to help others. Accounting for his accomplishments, he is particularly proud to know his decisions as a safety manager have helped save lives in the field.
