Jonathan Gordon, retired chief pilot from the Wilmington Police Department, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of law enforcement.
With more than 25 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Gordon has excelled as a leader in the field of law enforcement. From 2014 to 2022, he served as the chief pilot for the Southeastern Air-Borne Law Enforcement (SABLE) aviation unit of the Wilmington Police Department in North Carolina. He originally joined the department in 1997 as a police officer. Now retired, he currently excels as a business owner, operating as the co-owner of H2Turbor Express car wash. Prior to beginning his professional career, Mr. Gordon honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1988 to 1992.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Gordon cultivated a formal education, earning a bachelor’s degree in management and organization development at the University of Mount Olive in 2007. Additionally, he is licensed as a commercial pilot and as an airframe and power plant aviation mechanic. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, as well as the achievements of his department, Mr. Gordon and the Wilmington Police Department were featured on the first episode of How America Works, hosted by Mike Rowe. Additionally, Mr. Gordon was honored with a Lifesaving Award in 2022. In light of his fulfilling career, he has attributed much of his success to the support of his colleagues and his willingness to take on new challenges.
