Jonathan Luke Mazurek has cultivated a fulfilling career in the fields of finance, business intelligence, and labor optimization. Well-versed in the gaming and casino entertainment industries, he currently serves as the assistant senior vice president of labor performance at Galaxy Entertainment Group based in Macau, including the largest casino worldwide, having rejoined after a one-year hiatus in Las Vegas, serving as vice president of financial planning & analysis at Interblock Gaming. During his tenure at Galaxy Entertainment Group, Mr. Mazurek transitioned from finance to labor and built a foundational structure in optimization, leading to significant contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Mazurek originally began his career in 1994, working in positions as casino operations manager and senior financial analyst for Grand Casinos, Inc. until 1998. Since then, he has worked at several other noteworthy brands and businesses, including Hyperion Solutions Corporation, Paragon Casino Resort, MGM Resorts, and Deloitte & Touche, among others. Prior to beginning his career, Mr. Mazurek pursued a formal education, earning an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Business with emphasis in finance and marketing from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Business.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Mazurek continued his academic pursuits, achieving his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa in 2018. Outside of his primary vocational interests, he also continues to serve as a civic minded citizen, having volunteered with numerous organizations and government functions.
Well regarded for his achievements in the field and industry, Mr. Mazurek was honored with a Presidential Award in recognition of his contributions at Grand Casinos, Inc. Attributing much of his success to his dedication and ability to satisfy the needs of his clients and partners, he is particularly proud to have joined the gaming industry during its rapid expansion in 1992.
