With more than 35 years of combined experience, Mr. Cho has cultivated an accomplished career as a multi-faceted professional. Since 2020, he has served as the principal of Strategy and Innovations LLC, where he specializes in business strategic planning and vision development. In his current leadership role, he focuses on advising a variety of clients, providing them with strategy and innovation consultations as needed. To wit, Mr. Cho offers his expertise to various universities and startup companies, and he excels in providing guidance on properly executing business missions and vision. He originally worked with Strategy and Innovations LLC as a proprietor from 2012 to 2015.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Cho was the chief strategy officer of Archibus, Inc., an integrated software platform company between 2016 and 2019. Additionally, he was the director of innovations at FLEXcon Company Inc. from 2003 to 2011. He also operated as a worldwide business manager for Solutia Inc. (Monsanto spin-off now part of the Eastman Chemical Company) from 1999 to 2003 and for the Monsanto Company in a similar role for another business from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Cho originally joined the Monsanto Company at the onset of his career in 1981, working as a manufacturing project and process engineer until 1982 and subsequently working in several other manufacturing and engineering roles within the business until entering other leadership positions in 1986.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Cho pursued a formal education, originally attending Tufts University and earning a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering in 1981. He later continued his studies at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he achieved a Master of Business Administration in 1989. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Cho holds several pertinent certifications in artificial intelligence strategies: systems engineering and digital business strategy from MIT professional education and MIT Sloan School of Management executive education and executive education from Yale School of Management.
In his other professional endeavors, Mr. Cho was a board member, vice president and director of the Association for Corporate Growth from 1998 to 2000. Outside of his primary interests, he also remains active as a civic-minded citizen. Since 2021, he has acted as a judge for startups in sustainability, clean energy, artificial intelligence and health tech. He was also on the board of regents and acted as a foundation director for Concordia University from 2002 to 2005.
As a testament to his accomplishments, Mr. Cho has been honored with numerous accolades, including a Market Sustainability Award and a Master Sales Award from the Monsanto Company. Similarly, the aforementioned company recognized him with five Achievement Awards in Sales and Manufacturing. He has largely attributed his success to his ability to analyze and manage complex situations using conceptual analysis and data modeling to provide a path forward by solving problems. In light of his many achievements within his field, Mr. Cho is notably proud of the many technical contributions that he has made in industry along with a granted patent for a new technology in sustainability at Monsanto.
