Peter Michael Cronin, president, chief executive officer and owner of the Chinook Consulting Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management and acquisitions.
Drawing on several decades of experience, Mr. Cronin is a proven business owner and manager, primarily operating within the steel industry. Since 2015, he has served as the president, chief executive officer and owner of the Chinook Consulting Company. Likewise, he has also excelled as a managing partner for Coho Sales and Marketing since 2015 and as a representative for SIMEC-Republic Steel and Wire since 2019. Throughout his time in the field, Mr. Cronin has specialized in mergers, acquisitions, strategic business planning, risk management, and sales and marketing.
Prior to his current appointments, Mr. Cronin was the corporate vice president of sales and marketing for the Heico Wire Group, as part of The Heico Companies, from 2004 to 2015. Additionally, he was the president and chief operating officer of the Industrial Wire Products Corporation from 1998 to 2004. In his other professional pursuits, he was the executive vice president and a general manager of Davis Wire, a Heico Wire Group Company, from 1993 to 1998. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Cronin worked with several other steel industry businesses in key leadership roles, including the Georgetown Wire Company, the Davis Walker Corporation and the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
Prior to embarking on his vocational journey, Mr. Cronin pursued a formal education. To wit, he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing and psychology at the University of Oregon in 1968. Furthermore, he completed coursework toward a Master of Business Administration at the University of California, Los Angeles. As part of his dedication to his profession, Mr. Cronin also remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the California Building Materials Dealers Association Inc., and he is a former president of the American Wire Producers Association.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Cronin boasts a lengthy history of civic advocacy, notably serving on the visitors’ board for the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University from 2002 to 2012. During his time with the institution, he also participated in numerous charitable fundraisers. In light of his fulfilling career, he has largely attributed his success to his competitive attitude, as well as the support of his family. Looking to the future, Mr. Cronin hopes to maintain his good health and eventually retire.
