Katie Samson, Director of Education at Art-Reach, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.

With more than two decades of experience in the non-profit industry, Ms. Samson has been thriving as the director of education at Art-Reach since 2018. During that time, she was also the director of programs from 2018 through 2020. Previously, she excelled at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts as the assistant director of museum education from 2014 to 2018 and art educator from 2012 to 2018. While holding the art director position, she was also active as a disability studies adjunct faculty member at West Chester University from 2013 to 2016. In the years prior, she served as a project coordinator with the Rosenbach Museum & Library from 2011 to 2012 and as the manager of youth and family programs with the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block from 2008 to 2010. 

Before entering her professional career, Ms. Samson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Art History from Middlebury College in 2003. She then received a postgraduate diploma in art history from The University of Arizona in 2007.  As a testament to her success, Ms. Samson was honored with numerous accolades, including a Special Recognition Award for Service from the Radnor Township in Pennsylvania in 2022, a Community Asset Award from the Kennedy Center Leadership Exchange Arts and Disability (LEAD®) Awards in 2019, a Stand for the Arts Award from Ovation and Comcast in 2019 and induction into the Hall of Fame at Radnor High School in 2018. 

Ms. Samson is proud to be the spokesperson for The Katie Samson Foundation, which has provided over $2 million in gifts to quality-of-life programs for people with disabilities. She enjoys inspiring others to want to help people with disabilities. Ms. Samson’s passion for helping people with disabilities came after she faced adversity because of a spinal cord injury that she had when she was 20.
