Kristoffer Johan Krarup Wright

Title: Area and Lending Manager
Company: JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Location: New Windsor, New York, United States

Kristoffer Johan Krarup Wright, area and lending manager at JPMorgan Chase & Co., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mortgage banking.

Mr. Wright of New Windsor, New York, quickly found his professional calling and recognition in the banking industry after immigrating from Denmark to the United States in 2006, a transition he considers his top achievement. Proficient in conducting business in Danish and English, he joined JP Morgan Chase & Co., in 2008 as a loan officer in Rockland, New York, before first being promoted to lending manager in 2011 and then to his current position of area lending manager in 2019, now based in Manhattan, New York. Prior to working with JP Morgan Chase & Co., Mr. Wright was a sales manager at Allied Financial in Manhattan. Today, as an authority in his field, he is a member of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, the Mortgage Bankers Association, and the Danish-American Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Wright credits being passionate about his work as the primary key to his success. He also considers himself willful, competitive, and ready to outwork anyone. Bolstering his professional growth was learning to never quit, maintaining a high level of integrity, and being open to feedback, which enabled him to develop as a person and a manager. Mr. Wright is grateful to mentors throughout his life for inspiring and promoting him, starting with his parents giving him early lessons to make himself indispensable, to his wife who is a constant source of support, to colleagues and managers at work who placed him in various positions, including his current role.

The foundations of leadership began for Mr. Wright when he still lived in Denmark, where he served as a first lieutenant in the reserves of the Royal Danish Army after his preparation in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. As a civilian, he also took the country’s required higher business exam at Copenhagen Business School, a public university in Frederiksberg, Denmark, and excelled in mathematics coursework before college.

Mr. Wright’s goal is to continue expanding his knowledge and growing in the financial field. He advises anyone who seeks to enter any aspect of the banking industry to remember that reaching a desired result or status is a process and a marathon, not a sprint. He believes success comes when professionals remain patient and humble while still showing confidence. Mr. Wright wants his peers to remember him as a manager who cared about people and their success and who understood that he can only win if his team wins first.

Away from his primary endeavors, Mr. Wright volunteers and sits on the board at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum and is a past board member for Meals on Wheels Rockland. Married with a son and daughter, he enjoys dedicating his spare time to his family, traveling, exercising, and skiing.
