Art Morrical, PMP, CQE, Retired Quality Manager, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering administration.

With many years of experience to his credit, Mr. Morrical is currently retired, having previously excelled as a quality manager for such industry-leading companies as AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, and Alcatel-Lucent since 1985. Prior to this appointment, he served as a senior engineer for GTE Communications Systems in Northlake, Illinois between 1982 and 1985. Throughout his career, Mr. Morrical has been additionally active with the Sugar Grove Public Library, for which he was appointed as a trustee from 1996 to 1997, the vice president from 1997 to 1999 and in 2011, and the president of the board of trustees from 1999 to 2011.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Morrical pursued an education at Bradley University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering technology in 1982. He concluded his formal studies at North Central College in 1989, graduating with a Master of Science in computer science. Following these accomplishments, Mr. Morrical obtained his certifications as a quality engineer by the American Society for Quality in 1989, a lead assessor by the British Standards Institution in 1995, and a TL9000 expert and certified project management professional by the Project Management Institute in 2007.

Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, Mr. Morrical has contributed to QUEST Forum in various capacities, including as a founding contributor from 1997 to 2007, the secretary for the North American region from 2007 to 2008, the vice chairman for the Americas region from 2008 to 2009, and the vice chairman for telecommunications business excellence in 2010. Likewise, he was appointed as a member of QUEST Forum’s Leadership Council and the Great Lakes TL9000 Special Interest Group from 2003 to 2009 and a member of the Global Business Excellence QUEST Forum Leadership from 2011 to 2012. Mr. Morrical found further success with his written work for QUEST Forum, co-authoring “TL9000 Requirements and Measurements,” which was published by the aforementioned organization in 1998.

Attributing his success to his logical IQ, his emotional IQ and his wealth of education in computer science, Mr. Morrical has been presented with multiple accolades over the years, including a Leadership Award in 2001, an Outstanding Leadership and Contribution Award in 2005 as well as from 2007 to 2012, a Chief Operating Officer Award from QUEST Forum in 2012, a President’s Award from AT&T Bell Laboratories in 2012 and a Lifetime Fellowship from QUEST Forum in 2016. Furthermore, he has been recognized with inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in America since 2008. Looking toward the future, Mr. Morrical hopes to continue thriving as the chief executive officer of The Morrical Ranch while enjoying his well-deserved retirement from full-time professional activity in Orlando, Florida.
