Moreover, Mr. Lane served as the senior vice president of energy lending at Hancock Whitney Bank from 2003 to 2011 and the executive vice president of energy for Sovereign Bank from 2011 to 2014.
Mr. Lane previously found success as the vice president of energy and commercial lending with Banque Indosuez from 1987 to 1993, the vice president of institutional sales with Westcap Corporation from 1993 to 1996, the vice president of energy lending for Bank One Texas from 1996 to 1999, and the vice president of energy lending for Wells Fargo from 2001 to 2004. He likewise worked as a banking officer for First City National Bank from 1984 to 1986 and a credit analyst for commercial and energy lending with Sumitomo Bank from 1986 to 1987. Mr. Lane began his career as an independent petroleum landman in the oil and gas industry throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana between 1981 and 1984.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Lane pursued an education at Trinity University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing in 1981. He subsequently obtained his licenses from The Security and Exchange Commission, The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and The North American Securities Administrators Association. Attributing his success to his dedicated and consistent work ethic and his loyalty to his industry, he was notably celebrated as a Top Producer during his career in banking.
