Margo Taylor-White, co-owner and office administrator of the Taylor Funeral Home, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of funeral services.

Ms. Taylor-White leverages over 45 years of experience in the funeral services industry. To wit, she has cultivated a fulfilling career as a funeral home manager in Chicago, Illinois, originally beginning her career at the Taylor Funeral Home in 1978 and working as a funeral director until 2009. The business was originally founded by her father in 1963 and features three locations throughout Chicago. After exiting from her position for six years to help raise her granddaughter, Ms. Taylor-White later returned as a co-owner and office administrator in 2015.

As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Taylor-White earned her licensure as a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer. Additionally, she previously pursued a formal education. At the onset of her academic career, she initiated her studies at North Park University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2005. She subsequently concluded her collegiate pursuits at Full Sail University, achieving a Master of Arts in creative writing in 2011.

As part of her commitment to her professional endeavors, Ms. Taylor-White remains active as a member within the Illinois Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Likewise, she is a former member of several local community organizations. In her civic-minded pursuits, she is the founder of White Girls and One Guy, and she actively volunteers with causes to help homeless individuals. Furthermore, Ms. Taylor-White is a regular contributor to The Austin Boys Paper.

To commemorate her accomplishments, Ms. Taylor-White was previously honored with a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Leadership. Though she did not originally intend to become a funeral home director, she is glad to have discovered her passion for her work as she learned about the industry over the course of her career. In the coming years, Ms. Taylor-White intends to refurbish one of her funeral home locations. Furthermore, she hopes to continue in her efforts with her nonprofit organization.
