With nearly three decades of experience to his credit, David Young has cultivated a career of excellence as a multi-faceted business professional. He recently joined Panasonic Energy of North America, as part of the Panasonic Corporation of North America, in 2021 as a business continuity manager. Since 2020, he has additionally served as a senior consultant with Helton Ventures LLC. In addition to his professional work in the corporate sector, Mr. Young honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1995 to 2015, originally operating in command and control between 1995 and 2003 and ultimately maintaining a position as a director at an emergency operations center between 2014 and 2015. Throughout his career, he has largely specialized in operational risk assessment, management and mitigation.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Young also pursued a formal education, earning both an associate’s degree in information systems technology and an associate’s degree in emergency management at the Community College of the Air Force. In addition to his academic credentials, he also holds several pertinent certifications in organizational leadership and business continuity. In his civic-minded efforts, Mr. Young has participated as a performer at the East Anglian Children’s Hospices since 2015, and he is a member of the board of directors of the Veterans Guest House. To commemorate his accomplishments, Mr. Young has been honored with several accolades. Most recently, he received a Global Innovation and Technology Award from the International Association of Emergency Managers in 2020, and he was named as an Outstanding Veteran in Business Continuity by the Disaster Research Institute.
