Lauren L. Deluca, Founding President and Executive Director of the Chronic Illness Advocacy & Awareness Group Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nonprofit leadership.

Since 2017, Ms. Deluca has excelled as the founding president and executive director of the Chronic Illness Advocacy & Awareness Group Inc., or CIAAG, in Worcester, Massachusetts. The organization is a national nonprofit focused on advocacy for oversight, accountability and transparency in relation to informed consent in human clinical trials, public-private partnerships, and systemic problems in treating chronic illness. In this role, Ms. Deluca is responsible for strategy, planning and marketing with the organization.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Deluca found success in the insurance industry. She worked as a commercial lines account manager for the Insurance Marketing Agency Inc. from 2015 to 2017 and for Marsh McLennan Agency from 2014 to 2015. She began her work in the field as a personal lines service representative with Commerce Insurance from 2004 to 2010 and as a Commercial Account Manager with the Quincy Insurance Agency Inc. from 2010 to 2014.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Deluca attended Nichols College, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in finance. Alongside her formal degree, she is an associate in general insurance and an associate in personal insurance. Ms. Deluca has also earned certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.

Alongside her primary roles, Ms. Deluca is a member of the Vienna Non-Governmental Organization Committee on Drugs, the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, United Nations Convention Against Corruption and the United Nations Transnational Organized Crime. She served as a subject matter expert for the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime where her contributions were included in the national guidance report on Effective Public Partnerships. Ms. Deluca co-authored “Violation of a Nation” which was published by the International Drug Policy Consortium in 2019.
