Morgan Little, the former chairman of the Texas Veterans Commission, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of veteran advocacy.

Hailing from decades of experience in the field of military service, Mr. Little has most recently distinguished himself as the chairman of the Texas Coalition of Veterans Organizations (TCVO), through which he presided over approximately 600,000 members and provided advocacy services and legislative testimony from 2010 until his retirement in 2016. Working as a unified front on behalf of veterans throughout Texas, the TCVO represents over 35 veteran service organizations. Over the course of his tenure, the TCVO notably succeeded in passing a number of legislative bills through the Texas legislature, including a $2 scratch-off lottery system that has, since 2009, provided over $150 million to the Texas Fund for Veterans Assistance. Long dedicated to the cause of veterans advocacy, Mr. Little previously availed himself as the president of the Austin Military Service Coalition, and as the legislative chair of the Texas committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. 

Prior to his civic endeavors, Mr. Little served as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1967 until 1998. Beginning as a ship maintenance officer, he went on to hold many high-profile assignments and commands, including as a qualified member of the Nuclear Biological Chemical Warfare committee. Likewise acclaimed for his work in biostatistics during this time, he has authored numerous works on the subject of pharmacokinetics, many of which appeared in refereed technical journals. Additionally, Mr. Little contributed to the study of ciprofloxacin, which ultimately yielded a breakthrough in research and led to the drug’s approval by the FDA. 

Before embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Little studied agriculture at the University of Arizona, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1964. Following this accomplishment, he graduated two years later with a Master of Science in animal science and biostatistics. Mr. Little went on to attend Rider University, where he received a Master of Business Administration in 1978. Throughout the course of his subsequent career, he is most proud to have been bestowed with several accolades, including a Dedicated Veterans Award in 2009 and a Service Section Anchor Award in 2016.
