With more than two decades of experience in the field of healthcare, Dr. Panaro is uniquely positioned to oversee the rehabilitation department at UPMC Home Healthcare, a comprehensive home health service that works on behalf of patients throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Having begun at the organization as a clinical supervisor in 2007, Dr. Panaro bears responsibility for overseeing all regions of their therapy business delivery, as well as ensuring that the entire system is adequately staffed. Additionally, he works diligently to ensure that best practices, policies, procedures and guidelines remain up to date. Additionally, he serves as a faculty member at APTA Home Health, an academy of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Dr. Panaro studied at Saint Francis University, where he earned a master’s degree in physical therapy in 2003. Following this accomplishment, he went on to Temple University, from which he received a doctorate in physical therapy two years later. Well-qualified in his field, he has also been certified for advanced competency in home health by the American Physical Therapy Association, and as a geriatric clinical specialist via the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy. In accounting for his subsequent success, he largely credits his upbringing, during which time he was instilled with the conviction that one can only reach their goals through diligence and hard work. Likewise, Dr. Panaro is gratified to have always counted on the love and support of his wife.
