Since 2005, Mr. O’Rourke has served as the president of Pacific Alternative Investment Advisors LLC. He previously found success as the president of Western Pacific Capital Management LLC from 2002 to 2012 and as a senior portfolio manager with Private Asset Management LLC from 1998 to 2001. With more than three decades of experience to his credit, Mr. O’Rourke began his professional pursuits as the managing director of Chase Manhattan Bank in San Diego, California, from 1991 to 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he was a senior portfolio manager with A.G. Edwards.
To prepare for his professional success, Mr. O’Rourke attended the U.S. Military Academy and earned a Bachelor of Science in general engineering in 1976. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Business Administration in international finance. In 2002, Mr. O’Rourke obtained certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst through the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia. For his professional excellence, he was named to the Top 3% of Money Managers in San Diego in 2009 and 2011. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking.
