Kirstin N. Weeks, principal of Bio Studio LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of sustainability consulting.
With more than 20 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Weeks is a proven expert in her chosen industry. Specializing in consulting for sustainability and regenerative design projects, she has served as the principal of Bio Studio LLC, an urban ecology enterprise aimed at providing key consultation services to architects, planners, business owners and entire cities. Prior to her current leadership role, she was an associate for energy and building ecology at Arup from 2017 to 2020, having originally joined the company in 2008 as a specialist. At the onset of her career, Ms. Weeks excelled as a green building research associate for the John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2000. Ever committed to her profession, she also remains active as a board member of Nature in the City and the Green Infrastructure Foundation. Furthermore, she maintains her participation with Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and the International Living Future Institute.
As part of her vocational journey, Ms. Weeks pursued a formal education, originally earning a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies at Dartmouth College in 2000. She subsequently achieved a Master of Science in architecture and building at the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. In addition to her academic credentials, she also holds several pertinent certifications in energy management and ecological restoration. In her creative endeavors, Ms. Weeks also notably co-authored a 2012 study, titled “The Benefits and Challenges of Green Roofs on Public and Commercial Buildings.” To commemorate her achievements, she was named a Living Future Hero by the International Living Future Institute in 2021, and she received a 40 Under 40 Award as a consulting-specifying engineer in 2018. In light of her fulfilling career, Ms. Weeks has largely attributed her success to her supportive family, colleagues and mentors.
