Abiola Bashorun, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of the ZL Global Alliance, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in landfill management.
Since 2021, Ms. Bashorun has been the chief executive officer of ZL Global Alliance. She previously garnered experience as the managing director and chief executive officer with the same company since 2012. From 2012 to 2013, she was the vice president of Mastercard, before which she worked for banks in Nigeria. Ms. Bashorun was the assistant general manager of Access Bank in Nigeria from 2010 to 2012 and held the same position with Ecobank in Nigeria from 2007 to 2009. Alongside her primary roles, she has found success through her creative works, authoring several articles and being featured in Nigerian Times Magazine. Since 2011, she has worked on electronic card projects related to financial inclusion.
In preparation for her career, Ms. Bashorun earned a Master of Business Administration in international business from Coventry University in 2006. She later earned an honorary doctorate in theology from Christian Academy in Nigeria. For her professional accomplishments, she received an Eagle Award from Barclays Bank in 2006. Ms. Bashorun was also recognized with a Fellowship Award from the Institute of Commerce of Nigeria and a certificate from the International Federation of Environmental Health. In the coming years, she wants to focus on recycling plastics in the United States.
