Frank J. Montonati, Owner of MCO Mine Service Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mining and metalworking.
As an accomplished professional with more than 50 years of experience, Mr. Montonati has excelled as the owner of MCO Mine Service Inc. since 1969. Alongside this role, he employed his expertise as the superintendent of exploration for the Western United States with Henrietta Mines Inc. from 1971 to 1973. He was a chief engineer and mine superintendent with the Dixline Corporation from 1968 to 1970 and worked with the Rico Argentine Mining Company from 1966 to 1968. Mr. Montonati has more than 38 years of research and development in the use of explosive devices and led the design and implementation of all construction at the Kartchner Caverns State Park in Arizona, a project for which he received recognition. Previously, he served in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary as a first lieutenant.
Mr. Montonati prepared for his career at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering in 1966. Alongside his formal degree, he holds a class A general engineering license in the state of Arizona. Mr. Montonati is also a certified HAZMAT supervisor and a federally certified instructor of underground and surface mine rescue through the U.S. Department of Labor. He attributes his success to hard work, and in the future, he plans to continue working as a consultant in his field. In his spare time, Mr. Montonati enjoys hunting, fishing and collecting guns.
