Brian Kent (BK) Thompson, the chief executive officer at the Saishupath Studio of the Warrior Arts, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of martial arts training.
Having dedicated his life and career to the mastery of martial arts, Mr. Thompson has distinguished himself through his role at the Saishupath Studio of the Warrior Arts, a combat sports and fitness training company that is singularly dedicated to helping clients reach their health and wellness goals. Leveraging the vast experience and cross-cultural talent of trainers from around the world, Saishupath offers a wealth of services, such as a rigorous training regimen that encompasses various fighting disciplines, dietary guidance, and the sale of herbal teas and nutritional supplements. Established in 1990, the company has also come to engage in sports team sponsorship and community events in both the United States and India.
Before embarking upon his current career pursuits, Mr. Thompson began training in martial arts at the age of four – his mother was a practitioner of jiu-jitsu, while his father had studied savate, a French discipline of foot fighting. After enlisting in the U.S. Navy, he went on to serve as an operations specialist between 1978 and 1989. During this time, he was deployed to various countries in Asia, including Japan, Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand, where he had the opportunity to train with martial arts masters and truly expand upon his knowledge. After returning to the United States, Mr. Thompson entered the field of law enforcement and became a defensive tactics instructor, thus laying the foundation for what would become the Saishupath Studio of the Warrior Arts.
In a career suffused with highlights, Mr. Thompson is most proud to have engaged in his ongoing research on Kalaripayattu, an ancient discipline of Indian martial arts that he hopes to bring to the United States in the form of workshops and seminars. He has also been extensively lauded for his contributions to public service, with plentiful certificates hailing his excellence from the New York State Department of Labor, the Department of Homeland Security, Texas A&M University, various emergency response teams, and state and local anti-terrorism training units.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Thompson largely credits the challenges he has faced, as well as his insatiable enthusiasm for expanding his knowledge of martial arts. Looking toward the future, he aspires to continue expanding operations to India and South Asia, where he hopes to exert a positive impact on the local fitness industry.
