Tobias “Toby” Witte, founder and principal of Wittehaus, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of architecture.
Mr. Witte leverages nearly three decades as a proven leader and expert in his industry. In 2017, he founded Wittehaus, his own architectural firm where he continues to serve as the principal owner. The company is well-regarded for designing modern and energy-efficient homes. Prior to beginning his own business, Mr. Witte operated as the owner and manager of Qubell from 2014 to 2018, and he held similar leadership roles at Dialect LLC from 2003 to 2017. At the onset of his career in 1996, he worked with Philipp Holzmann AG in his native home of Germany as a technical associate and draftsman until 1999. Ever committed to his profession, Mr. Witte has remained active as a member of Brick & Wonder and the American Institute of Architects.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Witte pursued a formal education. As a student of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in architecture in 2003 and a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude, in 2004. In addition to his academic credentials, he also holds a general contractor license from the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. In his creative endeavors, Mr. Witte recently published his first book, “Supersizing Bliss: How We Have Betrayed Our Homes and the Happiness We Seek,” in 2023. To commemorate his achievements, he has been honored with several accolades, including recently receiving the Design & Build Award from Build Magazine in 2021. In light of his fulfilling career, Mr. Witte attributes his success to his drive, vision, curiosity and humility.
