Prior to this position, he served in various roles with the aforementioned company between 2007 and 2020. Mr. Murphy began his career as the general manager for Comac Builders Supply from 2001 to 2007.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Murphy pursued an education at Alfred State College of Technology, part of the State University of New York system, from which he earned an Associate of Science in industrial sales and marketing in 1990. He concluded his studies at the State University of New York at Fredonia in 1992, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in operations and marketing. In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Murphy has obtained a certification from the American Concrete Institute.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Murphy has participated in a number of endeavors outside of his immediate circles. To support his community, he has sponsored multiple youth football teams, donated money to Habitat for Humanity International, raised funds for his local chapter of The United Way and coached teams for youth sports. Likewise, Mr. Murphy has been affiliated with the New York Construction Materials Association and the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., the latter of which appointed him as a member of the National Executive Board.
In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Murphy has accrued several accolades throughout his impressive career. A two-time recipient of the Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., he was notably ranked as Number 72 on New York State Construction Power 100 and was featured in Construction Executive Magazine. He attributes his success to his determination, his stellar work ethic, his faith, and his belief in himself. In the coming years, Mr. Murphy would like to be a part of the ownership team at Power & Construction Group, Inc. while advancing to become the national chair of Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.
