Robert L. Rowe, Managing Director at Citi, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in research and global strategy.
With more than 30 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Rowe has excelled as the managing director for Citi since 1989. In addition to this position, he is active as the U.S. regional director of research and the head of the global strategy and macro group for Citi, roles in which he is responsible for the oversight of fixed income, commodity, currency and economic schemes around the globe. Prior to these appointments, he began his career in the financial sector with an administrative position in the mergers and acquisitions team for Smith Barney in 1989, with which he remained during their merger with Shearson. Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Rowe has served on the board of trustees for Hartwick College for four years.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Rowe pursued an education at Hartwick College, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in theater and European history in 1981. He subsequently attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1983. In terms of his creative efforts, he completed a film titled “Adams Apple” in 2019, which was selected to screen at a number of film festivals and accrued him the Charles Jehlinger Award for Acting. He was further celebrated for his work in finance with an Institutional Award and recognition with #1 and #2 Placement by Agency Debt Analysis. Attributing his success to his hard work, great mentors and consistent learning, Mr. Rowe is particularly proud of the fixed-income and equity research teams that were ranked as one of the top three research teams globally.
