Ryan R. Batey, president of Family Is Everything Outreach, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the nonprofit sector.
Following the tragic death of his little brother, Dalen Risby, Mr. Batey felt compelled to make a difference in the lives of others. With a focus on family and a commitment toward service on behalf of the people of Nashville, Family Is Everything Outreach was established in 2018 as a nonprofit organization, and has worked diligently ever since to inspire people to exert a positive impact on their community. In addition to its volunteer efforts, the organization has gone on to establish three successful programs that best exemplify its values; Be the Best You, a girls’ sports initiative, We Are The Community, which provides for the essential needs of the underprivileged, and the Classic Men Youth Foundation, a program that offers mentorship to young men and seeks to combat gun violence.
Well-regarded for his accomplishments in the nonprofit sector, Mr. Batey was listed among the 40 Under 40 for African Americans in 2023. In accounting for his success, he largely credits his humble nature, as well as the ability to recognize when to seek help from others. Among his most cherished accomplishments, he is most proud of the progress of the Be the Best You program, which went from seven members in 2018 to more than 120 children. Looking toward the future, Mr. Batey hopes to continue shepherding Family Is Everything Outreach as it becomes a nationally recognized organization, and to carry on with his mission of inspiring people to make a difference.
