Ms. Coffey began her career in 2004 with the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury Office as a legislative auditor, a position in which she served until 2006. She excelled as an auditor for the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services between 2006 and 2008. Working as a senior internal auditor at Toyota Tsusho America between 2008 and 2011, she continued to advance in her field. She was appointed to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in 2011 as an internal audit supervisor until 2018. Today, she serves as division director for the Kentucky Public Pensions Authority, with which she has held the post since 2018.
Ambitious and motivated, Ms. Coffey followed her drive to succeed by earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Western Kentucky University in 2003. She later acquired her certification as an internal controls auditor, which has led to her many accomplishments. Since 2011, Ms. Coffey has been a member of the Central Kentucky Association of Government Accountants. She has been additionally active with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners since 2022.
