Jody Lin Wolford, President of the Northern Institute of Cosmetology, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in cosmetology.
Ms. Wolford has gained a stellar reputation as a hairstylist, becoming a licensed cosmetology instructor in 1987. In 2019, she succeeded her mentor, Daniel Sachel, and secured ownership of the Northern Institute of Cosmetology, where she serves as president and financial administrator, positions in which she continues to thrive. In addition to her executive duties, she remains active in an instructor role, where she enjoys watching her students’ faces as they grasp new concepts.
With unyielding determination, Ms. Wolford never abandoned her aspirations to have a meaningful career. She considers her longevity and tenaciousness to be her most notable achievement. Completing college coursework helped her achieve her goals of business ownership.
Ms. Wolford was recognized as the Stylist of the Year in her Lorain, Ohio community in 1988. Her hopeful spirit maintains her dedication to helping others succeed and create meaningful careers. A desire for growth has contributed to her aspirations of opening a barber school for cosmetologists who wish to cater to male clients. Ms. Wolford was inducted into the prestigious Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry in 2023.
When she is not working, Ms. Wolford devotes her time to gardening and her family. She supports the Fit for Youth movement, which introduces a structured and fun fitness program for Lorain, Ohio’s youth. Her dedication to her community drives her to volunteer at The Genesis House, a domestic violence center in Lorain, by providing free haircuts for women who need them.
